Purpose of the Job

Planning, deploying and maintaining converged IP/MPLS backbone interconnecting Orange Fixed and Mobile sites and carrying various Core, Voice, Mobile & Fixed Data services; as well as fulfilling OEG internal customers business needs by delivering end-to-end IP connectivity solutions for different Voice and Data services.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Plan and Implement of the various converged IP/MPLS fixed and mobile backbone projects; HW/SW Upgrades, links expansions & network modernization initiatives
2. Set regular meetings and workshops with vendors for setting the development and decision of technologies and hardware needs to provide state of art network for providing the best in class services to our customers.
3. Provide data network connectivity solutions for integrating various Voice & Data services over the IP/MPLS backbone (PaCo, Core NSS, BSS, fixed broad band , 4G/5G , triple play and B2B solutions .etc)
4. Plan/provision new services implementations or migrations using Network orchestrations and automations frameworks and technologies.
5. Conduct ?what-if? simulations and bottleneck analysis to investigate the impact of network changes and recommend design optimizations.
6. Monitor network KPIs reports to make sure the dimensioning and QoS is guaranteed end to end across the network.
7. Create and maintain relevant projects technical design documentation
8. Create RFI , RFPs and RFQs for IP/MPLS converged core network new projects for enhancement , optimization modernization or expansions
9. Develop converged IP/MPLS backbone annual/quarterly CAPX/OPEX budget
10. Manage IP Pool & Internet clusters.
11. Peer with the upstream providers like (level3, Flag, Global-crossing, ?) using the latest design approaches
12. Provide high resiliency plans for international circuits failure with minimal impact on different services
13. Test new features and HW in the DN LAB environment to ensure the functionality of the equipment and the features for providing the services to our customers.

Job Specifications

  • Education
1. Bachelor degree in telecommunications and electronic engineering from a recognized university.
2. CCNP, CCIP or CCDP required, CCIE is a plus
3. JNCIP,JNCIE is a plus

Experience
1. Minimum 4 Years, 2 of which in a relevant role
2. Excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN communications, network hardware such as Cisco/Juniper Routers, Switches and Firewalls
3. Excellent knowledge of routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN Layer2, and VPN Layer3)
4. Excellent knowledge/Practical experience in Cisco or Juniper routers and switches configuration
5. Excellent understanding and practical experience with technologies like MPLS, SR, EVPN
6. Excellent understanding of QOS best practices
7. General awareness of the operation and underlying protocols of various Core/VAS/PaCo systems like Softswitches, HLRs, STPs, RNCs, Charging, 3G/LTE, VoIP and SIGTRAN.
