About the job Lead, Transmission Supervision

Purpose of the job:

-Handle all supervision tasks related to the assigned technology type "transmission synchronous digital hierarchy SDH , plesiochronous digital hierarchy PDH and mobile backhauling MBH through monitoring and following up all daily alarms in the entire technology equipment

-Assure proper handling for all cases and proper escalation for critical incidents

-Transfer the problems to the responsible team, escalate the problems when needed and log the incidents in daily report with reference to the global supervision process.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Log and record all different kind of daily received alarms allover the transmission equipment major, critical cases in the daily incident report and other alarms in the log book file.
  • Present a daily incident report containing all major/critical problems happened with the available details about it.
  • Monitor orange technology transmission systems 24 hours per day and 7 days per week through shifts.
  • Assure with all involved teams when requested to add any new transmission technology elements after the phase of deployment.
  • Fulfill special assignment from other domain or entities like transmission technology operations.
  • Perform on site support for all interventions done by transmission operation , suppliers and field engineers.
  • Inform the incidents & requests from management with all major/critical cases through emails / phones to create the required trouble tickets .
  • Enrich the contents of the created trouble tickets with the available details which "major /critical cases" act as source of the main network performance indicators.
  • Create all kind of transmission systems reports(weekly & monthly).
  • Participate in giving technical knowledge, guidance for junior engineers .

Handle any delegated tasks from his manager.

Job specification

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Equivalent.

Experience:

Above 2 years experience in telecommunication field

Skills and abilities :

Very good knowledge in GSM /GPRS / CDMA / LTE.

Very Good Computer skills (Windows & MS Office (Excel)

Ability to work under stress & Ability to work in a teamwork

Self motivated and humor.

Very good reporting& organization skills.

Very good communication and analytical skills.

Accept to work through Shifts 24*7.

Initiative and creative in problem solving
