Purpose of the job
To oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of learning and development initiatives across the organization. The L&D Supervisor ensures that training programs meet business needs and performance objectives while managing external/internal trainers and evaluating training effectiveness.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with department heads and HR business partners to identify learning needs and align L&D initiatives with business goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and assist in the administration of training programs, workshops, and learning interventions across departments.
- Ensure standard quality checks of training delivery and administration in accordance with departmental policies and standards.
- Design and implement functional academies with clearly structured content tailored to business needs.
- Source and liaise with external training providers, consultants, and subject matter experts.
- Review RFPs and supplier proposals to ensure alignment with training objectives and budget.
- Manage supplier relations including communication, logistics (e.g., materials, payments), and pre-/post-course follow-up.
- Oversee scheduling, logistics, and end-to-end coordination of corporate programs, including confirmations, Oracle system updates, course creation, and tracking attendance.
- Ensure consistent information and skill delivery across all employee training activities.
- Monitor the implementation of the annual L&D plan and issue regular progress and activity reports to management.
- Maintain training calendars, budget tracking, documentation, and training records.
- Support the implementation of e-learning platforms and digital learning solutions.
- Collect and analyze training feedback to assess effectiveness and make continuous improvements.
- Ensure compliance with telecom regulatory training requirements and internal audit standards.
Job specification
Education
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (e.g. telecommunication engineer).
- Certificate/Diploma in HR or training is a plus
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience, 3 of which in a similar field in a corporate environment.
- Good knowledge of training providers in Egypt and the Middle East.
- Experience in the telecom industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), digital learning tools, RFP handling, and reporting methods.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
