Purpose of the job

Responsible for designing the best possible solution that should be aligned with the technical road map and the business requirements. The Solution Architect is accountable for the architecture and design authority across the IT organization. In charge of resolving Technology disagreements among different IT teams. Is responsible for auditing & reviewing the IT processes and solutions.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Find the best tech end-to-end solutions among all possible to fulfill the business requirements.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures aligned with business and technical requirements across BSS systems.
  • Work with stakeholders to translate functional needs into technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
  • Ensure that the solution includes all possible scenarios and handling all requirements.
  • Define features, phases, and solution requirements.
  • Define solution impacted platforms, cost, and expected development duration.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to define deployment strategies, infrastructure, and automation pipelines.
  • Present architectural plans and trade-offs to both technical teams and business leadership.
  • Enforce architecture standards, design reviews, and development best practices across software engineering teams.
  • Provide solution documentation describing the solution defined, managed, and delivered; Also, include any limitations or assumptions that should be clear to all stakeholders.

Job Specifications

Education:

Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Computer Science or related field.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of proven experience in engineering and software architecture design
  • Good knowledge of telecom environment & systems
  • Very good general IT background
  • Previous project management experience is advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases
  • TOGAF certification is a plus
  • Understanding of coding languages (Java, JavaScript)
