Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team in Seattle. This is a wonderful opportunity to support a talented group of attorneys within a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with two remote days per week and three days in-office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full administrative and litigation support to Partners and Associates.
- Draft, proofread, edit, and prepare correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents within strict deadlines.
- Coordinate with docketing teams to verify deadlines and ensure accuracy.
- Arrange depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation logistics.
- Partner with the firm's West Coast Managing Clerk team for timely court filings.
- Enter attorney time, process monthly billing, and serve as the primary liaison with Accounting for client billing matters.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate travel, and handle meeting arrangements.
- Maintain physical and electronic legal files using NetDocs, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Monitor and manage incoming communications, delegating or escalating as appropriate.
- Anticipate attorney and client needs, providing proactive administrative support.
- Coordinate delivery services and assist other attorneys and staff as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant, or executive assistant (law firm experience required).
- High school diploma or GED required; further education preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MS365, NetDocs, and PowerPoint highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Aderant billing systems, new matter intake, and conflicts procedures.
- Typing speed of at least 75 wpm with exceptional accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven commitment to teamwork, client service, and excellence.
Compensation and Benefits
The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $73,000 – $98,000, depending on experience, education, and qualifications.
