Not Every Engineering Role Has a Mission
Imagine seeing your work directly support the systems that protect U.S. Navy sailors around the world.
At Orgro, we're looking for a Systems Engineer to join a team supporting the Navy's AEGIS Program—one of the most advanced defense systems ever developed. Your work won't be buried in a backlog or lost in a corporate hierarchy. You'll be helping ensure mission-critical software and systems perform exactly as intended when reliability matters most.
If you're the type of person who enjoys solving complex problems, uncovering issues before they become risks, and delivering quality work that makes a real-world impact, keep reading.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll become part of a team responsible for independently verifying and validating software and systems that support national defense initiatives.
Your days may include:
Putting complex systems through rigorous testing and verification
Creating test plans that clearly define success and identify potential risks
Analyzing data and uncovering meaningful insights
Collaborating with engineers, government stakeholders, and technical teams
Producing documentation that helps drive critical program decisions
Supporting product readiness efforts before systems move into operational environments
Contributing to projects that directly support the U.S. Navy and allied military partners
No two days are exactly alike, and every project contributes to a larger mission.
Who Thrives Here?
You might be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy finding problems before they find everyone else
- Love turning data into actionable conclusions
- Take pride in clear, concise technical writing
- Like collaborating with smart people tackling difficult challenges
- Appreciate structured processes but still enjoy solving new problems
- Want your work to have purpose beyond quarterly earnings reports
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of systems, software testing, verification, or validation experience
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with AEGIS Combat Systems
- Naval radar systems experience
- Flight-test or lab-test experience
- Participation in engineering reviews such as SETRs
- Experience working within government or defense programs
Don't check every box? We'd still like to talk. Exceptional candidates often bring valuable experience from unexpected backgrounds.
