ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Payroll Specialist supports the administration of the payroll activities of Squire Dental across multiple sites. Responsibilities include business process routing, data governance, data loads, and support for consolidation and future scaling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of Timecards
  • Managing Unallocated hours
  • Flagging meal period violation
  • Tracking & checking of Miles
  • Running reports
  • Filling out Paysheets
  • Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions.
  • Processing payroll transactions, including salary adjustments, overtime, and bonuses.
  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee inquiries.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Preparing reports for upper management.
  • Collaborating with HR and finance departments.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in payroll regulations and best practices
  • Provide ad-hoc AP support as needed
  • Hybrid work setup, with occasional on-site reporting as required by business needs.
  • Work schedule may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

Educational background required / desired:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate degree in BS Accounting Information System / BS Business Administration major in Financial Management / BS Human Resource Management (HRM) / BS Management Accounting
  • Or equivalent to 1 to 3 years of AP/Billing Background

Work experience required / desired:

  • Maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial transactions
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheet software like Excel.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and payroll software
  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) may be an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data
