About The Role:
The Legal Contract Analyst is Responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex customer contracts to ensure alignment with company requirements, policies, and risk management strategies. This role will work closely with the Contract Manager to streamline the contract review process and provide subject matter expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review customer contracts, including lengthy and detailed agreements, to identify key provisions, potential risks, and areas for improvement
- Modify contract language as needed to mitigate risks, protect the company's interests, and meet internal standards
- Provide recommendations on contract terms, conditions, and negotiation strategies to the Contract Manager and cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Contract Manager to develop efficient processes, procedures, and tools for contract review and management
- Leverage legal expertise and industry experience to anticipate issues, identify risks, and propose solutions
- Stay up to date on changes in contract law, regulatory requirements, and best practices in contract management
- Assist in the training and development of the Contract Management team to build their contract review capabilities
- Maintain detailed documentation and reporting on contract review activities and outcomes
Skills & Qualifications:
- Law degree or equivalent legal education, with or without bar admission
- 3-5 years of experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts, preferably in a BPO, outsourcing, or professional services environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
