About the Role:
The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist Team Member is responsible for overseeing and managing the billing and collections processes for our client in the solar energy sector in Australia.
This role involves ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment allocation, and collections, while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with specific expertise in billing and collections.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and streamline billing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee collections activities, including follow-ups on outstanding invoices and processing refunds.
- Coordinate with operations and sales teams to resolve billing and collections issues.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable and aging reports.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to billing and collections.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for all billing and collections activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations.
- Working on Rebates and Refund
- Generate and maintaining receipting report
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Educational background: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Years of experience: 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on billing and collections.
Communications skills (English Proficiency): Strong written and verbal communication skills, rated at least 8.
MS Office applications proficiency required / desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, rated at least 9.
Other qualifications:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, AF)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Familiarity with Australian financial regulations and practices is an advantage.
- CPA or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
