Accounting Specialist-GL (US Shift)

About the Role:

One of our clients is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support our accounting operations. This is a multi-functional role responsible for General Ledger and Sales & Use Tax areas.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger

• Prepare and post recurring journal entries (Prepaids, Debt, Fixed Assets, Credit Cards)

Sales and Use Tax

• Prepare monthly Sales and Use Tax returns and coordinate payment

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Educational background required / desired:

• Bachelor's Degree or Associate degree in Accountancy or Accounting Technology
• Or equivalent to 2 to 3 years of experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a small/medium-sized business
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred

Qualifications required / desired:

• Proficient in accounting, billing, and high-volume data entry
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Ability to use accounting software and spreadsheets to record, track, and analyze financial data
• Proficient in accounting, billing, and high-volume data entry
• Experienced in accurately processing invoices with minimal to no errors
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
• Maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial transactions
