About The Role:

The HR & Payroll Officer is responsible for timekeeping, calculating employees' compensation, updating internal payroll databases (Sprout) and ensuring timely payments/salary payout. This role is also responsible for benefits administration. It will also serve as BCP and support the finance team when needed. The HR & Payroll Officer is directly reporting to the Head of HR and has collaborative coordination with finance for funding payroll and other monetary benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timekeeping
  • Payroll Computation
  • Plotting of Attendance/Timesheet
  • Respond to all payroll inquiries and concerns
  • Timely remittance of Government mandated benefits
  • Responsible for employee data records management and update for SSS, PHIC, HDMF
  • Maintain employee rewards monitoring
  • Comply with and disseminate government agencies rules and procedures related to employee benefits and claims
  • Preparation of Overtime Reports
  • Preparation of Unpaid Leave Reports
  • Manual Journal entry
  • Attend seminars/webinars from SSS, PHIC, HDMF and BIR

Skills & Qualifications:

Educational background required / desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) (desired)

Work experience required / desired:

  • Proven expertise for government statutory benefits
  • Knowledgeable about SSS, HDMF and PHIC benefits or equivalent work experience

Years of experience required / desired:

  • At least 2 years in timekeeping and payroll

Communications skills required / desired:

  • 9/10

MS Office and other applications proficiency required / desired:

  • Good

Other qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Labor Laws including some HR policies & procedure related to compensation and benefits
  • Knowledgeable in HRIS – Sprout, Salesforce, and Xero (preferred)
  • Ability to grasp accounting, tax, finance, and legal concepts
  • Strong customer service skills/client focus
  • Keen and attention to details
