About the job Technical Lead
About the Role:
The Technical Lead owns technical decision-making across the development lifecycle and works closely with Product Managers, the Product Owner, and the Delivery team to translate requirements into high quality, production-ready solutions. This role also plays a key part in mentoring engineers, improving development practices, and ensuring consistent delivery standards.
The Technical Lead remains actively involved in coding, code reviews, and architectural design to stay close to the codebase and maintain engineering excellence.
An AI-first mindset is essential. The role is expected to actively leverage AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, progressively orchestrate agentic AI workflows to accelerate SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) processes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead full-stack development across core technologies including TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular
- Own technical design and implementation decisions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance
- Drive architecture discussions and maintain design documentation, including C4 modeling where applicable
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Owner, and Delivery Leads to align technical solutions with business needs
- Guide and mentor engineering team members, promoting best practices and high-quality standards
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards and architecture principles
- Work closely with DevOps teams to operationalize solutions, ensuring releasability, observability, and system reliability
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and overall Agile delivery processes
Ownership and Decision-Making
- Owns end-to-end technical design and execution
- Provides direction on architecture, scalability, and system design
- Influences delivery timelines and technical feasibility
- Acts as the primary technical escalation point within the squad
Delivery and Execution
- Collaborate closely with DevOps teams, Product Owners, Quality and stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features and projects
- Contributes to shaping solutions based on requirements provided by Product
- Monitor progress and address risks or delays proactively
Technical Leadership
- Mentor and coach developers to improve technical capability and productivity
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Support team in resolving technical blockers and challenges
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
AI Capability Requirements
- Proficient in using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT in development workflows
- Ability to integrate AI into engineering processes to improve efficiency and output quality
- Exposure to or readiness to adopt agentic AI workflows as part of the development model
