Position Summary
Lead day-to-day testing operations for the offshore QA team, coordinating with the Test Lead to ensure quality standards are met. Execute manual testing, create comprehensive test cases for new features, and participate in planning and triage activities. Enhance automation test cases.
This role requires strong technical skills, coordination abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating quality risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases for regression testing and new feature validation
- Create detailed test cases for new feature work based on requirements and specifications
- Coordinate day-to-day testing activities and report progress to Test Lead
- Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide test effort estimates
- Participate in bug triage meetings, assess bug severity and impact
- Create and maintain bug reports in JIRA with clear reproduction steps and supporting information
- Plan and coordinate release test cycles
- Maintain and update existing test cases to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify new test scenarios and edge cases for feature work
- Identify test cases to add to automated test suites
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members
Required Technical Skills
Testing Experience:
- 5+ years hands-on software testing experience
- Strong manual testing skills across multiple application types
- Experience testing Windows desktop applications
- Experience testing web-based/cloud applications
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies
- Practical experience with test case design and test planning
- Risk assessment and test prioritization capabilities
Tools & Technologies:
- Proficiency with JIRA for bug tracking and project management
- Experience with Git version control systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, or similar platforms)
- Playwright or similar web automation frameworks (desirable)
- Exposure to at least one programming language (C#, Java, TypeScript, or similar)
Communication & Coordination:
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to articulate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience coordinating testing activities and reporting to leadership
