Location: Los Angeles, California. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity, offering a combination of in-office collaboration and flexible remote work.

Note: To be considered, you must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar and have at least 1 year of personal injury litigation experience, along with strong deposition and legal writing skills.

Job Description

  • Manage a personal injury litigation caseload from filing through resolution.
  • Draft complaints, motions, oppositions, mediation briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and case management conferences.
  • Develop litigation strategy while evaluating liability, damages, and evidentiary issues.
  • Prepare clients for depositions, mediation, medical examinations, and trial.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, experts, and medical providers.
  • Negotiate settlements and advise clients on case value and litigation strategy.
  • Maintain deadlines and case management records.
  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial as experience allows.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 1+ years of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Strong deposition experience.
  • Excellent legal research and persuasive writing skills.
  • Knowledge of California civil procedure and discovery.
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and litigation responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
  • Mediation, arbitration, or trial experience is a plus.
