Location:

On-site in Windsor, CT. This is a hands-on plant maintenance position for someone who enjoys being close to the equipment, solving problems, and keeping production running efficiently.

Note:

Candidates must have 3+ years of directly relevant industrial maintenance experience. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to read prints, CNC machine experience, and experience maintaining a comprehensive preventive maintenance program are important for success in this role.

Job Description

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and other industrial production equipment
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and complete repairs efficiently
  • Read electrical, mechanical, and equipment prints to identify faults and determine solutions
  • Maintain and improve a comprehensive preventive maintenance program
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
  • Troubleshoot equipment such as welders, glass optimizers, notch boxes, and related machinery
  • Support basic PLC troubleshooting and programming when needed
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend practical improvements
  • Prioritize maintenance needs while balancing multiple projects and production demands
  • Communicate effectively with operations and leadership regarding equipment status, repairs, and maintenance priorities
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and reliable plant maintenance environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints
  • CNC machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting preventive maintenance programs
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Self motivated with strong time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic PLC programming or troubleshooting knowledge preferred
  • Experience maintaining manufacturing or production equipment preferred
