Location:

This is a full-time opportunity based primarily in our St. Charles, Missouri office. We offer flexibility for attorneys to work remotely when necessary, but this is not a fully remote position and regular in-office collaboration is an important part of our culture.

Note:

Candidates must have 1+ year of attorney experience, an active Missouri or Illinois law license, and be comfortable working primarily from the St. Charles office. Missouri licensure is especially valuable because the majority of matters are Missouri-based. Litigation experience is a plus.

Job Description

  • Manage family law cases from initial strategy through resolution.
  • Handle discovery, depositions, legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in hearings, settlement conferences, negotiations, and trials.
  • Develop practical case strategies and pursue meaningful resolutions for clients.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and provide responsive guidance throughout their matters.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to keep cases moving efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, pleadings, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Missouri or Illinois.
  • 1+ year of attorney experience.
  • Ability to manage cases independently and communicate confidently with clients.
  • Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills.
  • Courtroom and first-chair family law trial experience preferred.
  • Missouri and Illinois dual licensure is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CaseNet, Microsoft 365, Mac systems, or legal case management software is helpful.
