Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Location: San Diego, CA. This is a fully on-site opportunity in downtown San Diego for an attorney who enjoys working closely with their legal team and clients.

Note: Candidates must be actively licensed with the California Bar and have 2+ years of directly relevant civil litigation experience.

Job Description

• Manage civil litigation matters through multiple stages of the case lifecycle
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in witness preparation
• Perform legal research and develop case strategies with senior attorneys
• Handle court appearances, hearings, conferences, and other litigation proceedings
• Review and analyze evidence, discovery materials, and case documents
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments and strategy
• Work with experts, opposing counsel, paralegals, and other litigation professionals
• Assist with mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
• Maintain deadlines and proactively move assigned matters toward resolution

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership required
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Experience with depositions and court appearances strongly preferred
• Knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules
• Strong organizational and case-management skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
