Location: Greenville, SC — This is an in-office opportunity designed for attorneys who enjoy working collaboratively with their legal team. Occasional remote work may be available, but this role is not fully remote.

Note: An active South Carolina Bar license and at least 1+ year of litigation experience are required. Insurance defense experience is preferred, but strong litigation attorneys from other practice areas are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

  • Manage litigation matters from initial investigation through case resolution.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Work closely with clients, attorneys, and industry professionals to develop effective case strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written work.
  • Manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals throughout the life of each case.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment while taking ownership of assigned matters.

Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina Bar license.
  • 1+ year of litigation experience.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Insurance defense experience is preferred but not required.
