Location: This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Los Angeles, California, offering close collaboration with an experienced legal team and hands-on involvement in meaningful plaintiff personal injury matters.

Note: Candidates must be active members in good standing of the California State Bar and have 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience. Experience managing personal injury matters, evaluating liability and damages, negotiating directly with insurance carriers, and counseling clients is required.

Job Description

  • Own the legal strategy for assigned personal injury matters from intake through settlement or litigation referral.
  • Evaluate liability, comparative negligence, insurance coverage, damages, policy limits, and overall case value.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen liability and damages while efficiently progressing each case.
  • Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and defense representatives to maximize client recovery.
  • Counsel clients throughout the pre-litigation process regarding case strategy, treatment progression, settlement expectations, and litigation options.
  • Review medical records, bills, treatment history, future medical needs, and economic and non-economic damages.
  • Identify opportunities for additional investigation, evidence development, expert involvement, and stronger case positioning.
  • Determine when matters should remain in pre-litigation and when they should transition to litigation.
  • Ensure cases are fully developed, organized, and litigation-ready before referral to the litigation team.
  • Collaborate closely with Case Managers, Negotiators, Medical Records Specialists, Legal Assistants, and Litigation Attorneys.

Qualifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience.
  • Strong understanding of California negligence law, insurance practices, liability analysis, and damages evaluation.
  • Experience negotiating plaintiff personal injury claims directly with insurance carriers.
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume personal injury caseload.
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, communication, and client counseling skills.
  • Experience with automobile accidents, premises liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, UM/UIM claims, policy limit demands, mediation, or similar plaintiff personal injury matters is highly valued.
