Attorney - Litigation & Business Law (2+ Years Experience)

Pay: $140,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

Note: This role requires an active California Bar license and a minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, employment law, and/or business law. Candidates without a current California Bar admission will not be considered.

Job description

• Take ownership of litigation matters from initial case assessment through trial, arbitration, and resolution
• Draft and argue pleadings, motions, and discovery in employment defense and business litigation cases
• Conduct depositions and appear confidently in court, mediation, and negotiation proceedings
• Advise employer clients on workplace compliance, HR policies, and risk mitigation strategies
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and business agreements
• Support entity formation, corporate governance, and transactional matters including M&A
• Partner closely with clients as a trusted legal and business advisor — not just their lawyer
• Collaborate with a nimble, entrepreneurial team on complex, multi-faceted matters

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license (required)
• 2+ years of experience in litigation and/or business law (employment defense experience a strong plus)
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience with depositions and courtroom appearances preferred
• Excellent client communication and organizational skills
• Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and genuine drive to excel
• Experience in in-house counsel or solo practice backgrounds welcome
