Location: Hybrid in Omaha, Nebraska — on-site presence encouraged as you build team and client relationships, with flexibility as you settle in. Nebraska Bar licensure or clear eligibility to obtain it is required. No relocation assistance is available.

Note: Candidates must have 5+ years of commercial real estate experience in private practice and active Nebraska Bar licensure (or clear eligibility). Applicants without this background will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Counsel clients on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions — including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing across a range of asset types and deal structures
  • Partner with developers, investors, lenders, and commercial tenants to understand objectives, structure deals, and deliver practical, client-centered legal advice
  • Lead due diligence processes including title review, survey analysis, and environmental assessments — identifying risk and advising clients accordingly
  • Ensure client compliance with applicable real estate, title, and zoning laws and regulations, including land use and development matters
  • Build and manage long-term client relationships that deepen trust, strengthen engagement, and generate ongoing business development opportunities
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver integrated service on complex, multi-disciplinary matters

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial real estate experience in private practice (required)
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate transactions, development, and financing; familiarity with land use and zoning compliance
  • Active Nebraska Bar license, or eligibility and commitment to obtain licensure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate complex deal dynamics into clear client guidance
  • Detail-oriented with a track record of producing accurate, high-quality work product efficiently
  • Client-focused with a proactive, responsive approach to service
  • Comfortable working independently on matters while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Initiative-driven: takes ownership of work and manages transactions with appropriate autonomy
