Location: Addison, Illinois. This is a hands-on, primarily in-office position where you'll work closely with leadership and operations teams. Occasional remote flexibility is available when personal matters arise.
Note: Direct construction accounting experience is required. Candidates with experience in job costing and construction financial operations will be strongly preferred.

Job Description
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasting activities.
- Maintain job costing and work-in-progress reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Partner with ownership and operations leadership on financial strategy.
- Manage banking relationships and support audits.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend process improvements.
- Provide leadership and support to accounting functions.
- Help drive the financial success of the organization.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of accounting experience required.
- Direct construction accounting experience required.
- Strong understanding of job costing and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management preferred.
- Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant experience preferred.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.
- CPA is a plus.
