Location: On-site in St. Louis, MO (with occasional time on the production floor and periodic travel between nearby plant locations).
Note: To be considered, you must have manufacturing cost accounting experience, hands-on experience with BOMs and routings in an ERP, strong standard costing and variance analysis skills, and General Ledger accounting experience. This is an ITAR-regulated environment, so you must be a US Person (U.S. citizen, green card holder, or qualifying refugee/asylee status).

Job Description
- Maintain accurate standard costs, labor rates, and overhead rates to support correct cost allocation
- Prepare weekly production, SOP, variance, and ad hoc reporting for leadership
- Analyze planned vs actual costs and investigate manufacturing variances, scrap, and rework costs
- Partner directly with production teams to identify drivers, root causes, and cost control actions
- Manage inventory accounting across two locations, including reconciliation, obsolete inventory review, and integrity of data
- Support monthly close and year-end close with inventory analysis and supplemental reporting
- Facilitate annual physical inventories and monthly cycle counts; monitor inventory movements and process issues
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to assess BOM and routing changes and their impact on cost centers
- Perform product line profitability and cost analysis to support management decisions
- Assist plant personnel with researching discrepancies and implementing preventive controls
- Contribute to special projects tied to continuous improvement and operational performance
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and General Ledger
- Hands-on ERP experience and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, analysis)
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and plant leadership
- Must meet ITAR US Person requirements and pass background check and drug screen
