Location: This is a full time, in person opportunity based in West Los Angeles, California, offering close collaboration with experienced attorneys and hands on involvement in active litigation matters.

Note: Candidates must be active members in good standing of the California State Bar and have 1+ year of litigation experience, ideally with a foundation in California civil litigation. Prior plaintiff employment litigation or employee rights experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

  • Manage and support plaintiff employment litigation matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and related workplace claims.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and factual issues affecting active matters.
  • Draft briefs, motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
  • Help develop case strategy through factual investigation, legal analysis, and case evaluation.
  • Meet with clients and provide thoughtful, responsive guidance throughout the litigation process.
  • Participate in negotiations, settlement discussions, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
  • Assist with discovery, witness preparation, case evaluations, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and support professionals on complex employment disputes.
  • Deliver strong written and oral advocacy while maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • 1+ year of litigation experience with exposure to California civil litigation.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
  • Strong communication skills and a client centered approach.
  • Plaintiff employment litigation, labor and employment litigation, or employee rights advocacy experience strongly preferred.
