Note: Candidates must have 6+ years of commercial real estate law experience and be licensed to practice law in Maine. A portable book of business is not required.

Job Description

  • Handle sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, and related agreements
  • Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and financing matters
  • Conduct due diligence and oversee title, survey, and closing processes
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive client solutions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through practical legal counsel
  • Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives
  • Contribute to a highly regarded and collaborative real estate practice

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of commercial real estate law experience
  • Extensive experience with commercial real estate transactions required
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills
  • Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development matters preferred
  • Ability to manage sophisticated transactions independently
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities
  • Maine bar admission required
  • Portable business not required
