Family Law Associate Attorney

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Location: Chicago, IL | Hybrid — Enjoy the flexibility of working from home up to 2 days per week while collaborating with our team in the office at least 3 days weekly.

Note: Candidates must have an active Illinois law license and 1+ years of hands-on civil litigation or family law litigation experience. Previous divorce or matrimonial law experience is preferred but not required. We welcome attorneys from law firms, solo practices, and in-house backgrounds who have relevant litigation experience.

Job Description

• Represent clients in divorce, child custody, parenting time, support, and other family law matters.
• Manage litigation responsibilities, including legal research, discovery, motions, pleadings, and court appearances.
• Develop effective case strategies and advocate for favorable client outcomes.
• Handle matters involving marital property, financial disclosures, and complex asset division.
• Negotiate settlements and help clients resolve disputes whenever possible.
• Collaborate with fellow attorneys and professionals to deliver thoughtful, comprehensive legal solutions.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication, sound judgment, and responsive service.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of civil litigation or family law litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills.
• Family law, divorce, or matrimonial litigation experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and client-service skills.
• Ability to work in our Chicago office at least 3 days per week.
