Location

New York City, NY — Hybrid. We are looking for NYC-based attorneys who can come into the office a few times each week, particularly during the initial onboarding period, while enjoying meaningful flexibility to work remotely.

Note:

Applicants must be attorneys at the 2nd to 3rd year associate level with at least 1 year of directly relevant transactional drafting and negotiation experience.

Job Description

• Support sophisticated media, entertainment, technology, intellectual property, and corporate transactions from deal ideation through execution.
• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including bespoke transaction documents and client-specific templates.
• Advise clients across streaming, film, documentaries, podcasts, theater, publishing, digital media, live events, sports, promotions, marketing, commercial technology, and related matters.
• Partner closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop practical deal strategies and move transactions forward efficiently.
• Manage multiple complex, fast-moving matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality.
• Research and monitor legal and industry developments that may affect client transactions.
• Take initiative, anticipate needs, manage workflows, and see matters through to completion.
• Develop trusted relationships with clients through thoughtful, responsive, and commercially minded legal guidance.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the applicable state bar.
• 2+ years of experience as a practicing associate, ideally at the 2nd to 3rd year level.
• 1+ year of transactional drafting and negotiation experience.
• Strong legal writing, drafting, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transactional environment.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in media, entertainment, technology, culture, and the arts.
• Collaborative mindset with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of matters.
