Location: Hackensack, NJ — Hybrid. This is a primarily office-based opportunity, with hybrid flexibility depending on experience

Note: Candidates must be admitted and in good standing in both New Jersey and New York and must have at least 2 years of exclusive, directly relevant experience in estate planning, probate/estate administration, and/or elder law. In-house counsel backgrounds are not a fit. Solo practitioners may be considered if they have an established book of business.

Job Description

  • Advise individuals and families on estate planning strategies, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related matters.
  • Handle probate and estate administration matters from initial consultation through resolution.
  • Counsel clients on elder law issues and help families navigate complex planning and administration needs.
  • Draft, review, and revise estate planning and related legal documents.
  • Manage client relationships and provide clear, practical legal guidance tailored to individual circumstances.
  • Represent clients throughout the lifecycle of estate and probate matters while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff across the firm on matters that may involve multiple areas of law.
  • Develop and maintain a strong client base, with meaningful opportunity for business development and practice growth.

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey and New York bar admissions in good standing.
  • 2+ years of exclusive, directly relevant experience in estate planning, probate, estate administration, and/or elder law.
  • Strong client counseling, drafting, communication, and case-management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
  • Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to client service.
  • Solo practitioners with an established book of business are welcome to apply.
