Location: This is a primarily field-based role with significant travel — roughly 80% of your time will be spent visiting clients, witnesses, and legal proceedings across the United States. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Missouri, Illinois, Florida, Louisiana, California, New York, or Washington D.C. We offer one remote workday per week with four days in the office when not traveling. No relocation package is available for this position.

Note: This role requires an active law license in any U.S. state (Missouri and/or Illinois preferred) and professional-level fluency in Spanish. Candidates must also have 1+ year of attorney experience. All three are hard requirements — candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

What you will do

  • Represent clients injured by asbestos exposure, advocating fiercely on their behalf throughout each stage of the case
  • Prepare and manage assigned asbestos disease cases as part of a collaborative deposition team
  • Travel extensively (approximately 80%) across the U.S. to conduct in-person client and witness interviews
  • Gather and analyze records including Social Security, medical, military, and union documents to build strong case foundations
  • Prepare and conduct depositions of fact witnesses, including client intake and testimony evaluation
  • Summarize and synthesize fact witness deposition testimony for team review and case strategy
  • Approach every client interaction with empathy — many clients are seriously or terminally ill

Qualifications

  • Active law license in any U.S. state (Missouri and/or Illinois preferred)
  • 1+ year of attorney experience — personal injury or asbestos litigation preferred; all litigation backgrounds considered
  • Professional-level Spanish fluency (spoken and written) — required
  • Comfortable with extensive domestic travel (approximately 80%)
  • Currently residing in Missouri, Illinois, Florida, Louisiana, California, New York, or Washington D.C.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
  • Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing a varied caseload with compassion and urgency
