Location: This position is based on-site in Fulton, Maryland. After approximately 6 to 12 months, there may be an opportunity for hybrid flexibility depending on performance and business needs. This is not a fully remote position.

Note: Candidates must have at least 2+ years of strong, directly relevant family law experience. We are looking for attorneys who can contribute meaningfully to active family law matters and confidently work with clients in emotionally and legally complex situations.

Job Description

  • Manage divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, protective order, and related family law matters
  • Counsel clients through complex and sensitive domestic disputes while developing practical case strategies
  • Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, discovery, correspondence, and other substantive legal documents
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, negotiations, depositions, and court proceedings
  • Analyze financial, custody, property division, and other issues affecting family law cases
  • Negotiate settlements while remaining prepared to advocate effectively in contested matters
  • Communicate directly with clients and maintain strong relationships throughout the lifecycle of each matter
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of directly relevant family law experience
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active Maryland Bar membership and good standing
  • Strong knowledge of divorce, custody, support, and related Maryland family law matters
  • Excellent legal writing, research, negotiation, and client communication skills
  • Litigation and courtroom experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to independently manage priorities while working collaboratively with a legal team
  • Professional, compassionate, and discreet approach to sensitive client matters
