Location

Palm Coast, Florida office, with flexibility for hybrid or remote work for Florida-based candidates depending on proximity and experience.

This role requires Florida-based estate planning experience and candidates must currently reside in Florida.

About Our Client

Our client is a highly respected Florida elder law and estate planning practice dedicated to making long-term care affordable and accessible for seniors while protecting families life savings. Their work centers on Medicaid planning, asset protection, estate planning, trusts, probate, guardianship, and long-term care planning, with a strong focus on helping seniors remain at home for as long as possible. The firm serves clients throughout Florida, primarily in Volusia and Flagler Counties, and is led by a nationally recognized elder law attorney deeply involved in Florida Bar leadership and legislative advocacy.

Job Description

  • Draft and finalize estate planning documents including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care surrogates, living wills, and related instruments
  • Assist with Medicaid planning, asset protection strategies, and long-term care planning matters
  • Support trust administration and non-probate matters, including beneficiary notices, trustee correspondence, and asset transfers
  • Coordinate document execution, client meetings, and signing appointments
  • Communicate directly with clients in a professional and compassionate manner regarding estate planning and elder law matters
  • Manage drafting workflows, revisions, and attorney edits using WealthCounsel
  • Maintain organized case files and client records using Clio or similar case management software
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant work

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on estate planning paralegal experience
  • Strong drafting experience with wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents
  • Familiarity with Florida estate planning, elder law, and Medicaid-related concepts
  • Experience using WealthCounsel required
  • Experience using Clio preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
