Compensation: $260,000 to $390,000 annually, based on experience, plus discretionary bonus eligibility.

Applicants must be admitted to the Illinois Bar and have 2+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience, including representing real estate owners, developers, sponsors, or investment managers in commercial real estate transactions.

Job Description

We're seeking a talented Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney to join our Chicago team and play an important role in sophisticated real estate transactions.

• Represent property owners, developers, sponsors, and investment managers in commercial real estate transactions.
• Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and commercial real estate financing matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, financing documents, and other transactional contracts.
• Conduct legal due diligence and help structure transactions that support clients' business objectives.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to manage transactions from initial negotiations through closing.
• Provide practical legal guidance while helping clients navigate complex real estate matters.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar admission required.
• 2+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
• Experience representing real estate owners, developers, sponsors, or investment managers.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Experience with joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, or real estate financing is highly valued.
