Job Description
- Represent employers in labor and employment litigation matters.
- Support defense of wage and hour class actions alongside experienced attorneys.
- Conduct legal research and develop strong legal analyses.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Assist with case strategy, preparation, discovery, and day-to-day litigation activities.
- Handle assigned matters with increasing ownership and responsibility.
- Gain exposure to single-plaintiff employment cases, labor matters, and administrative agency proceedings.
- Work closely with senior attorneys while receiving training, oversight, and mentorship.
- Manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment.
- Communicate clearly with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of litigation experience.
- Active California State Bar admission.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Understanding of state and federal court procedures and employment-related agency processes.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to take ownership of assignments and proactively move work forward.
- Wage and hour class action experience is a strong plus.
