Location: This is a fully remote opportunity open to attorneys located anywhere in California. Our team also operates from offices in Long Beach and Chico, giving attorneys the flexibility of remote work with the support of an established California practice.

Note: Candidates must be active members of the California Bar and have at least 1 year of California workers' compensation experience.

Job Description

  • Manage California workers' compensation matters from file inception through settlement, dismissal, trial, or other resolution.
  • Develop practical and proactive litigation strategies tailored to each client's goals.
  • Handle discovery, depositions, hearings, conferences, negotiations, and WCAB appearances.
  • Analyze medical, employment, and claim records and provide clear recommendations to clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and pursue efficient resolutions while controlling litigation costs.
  • Defend related issues including lien claims and Labor Code Section 132a matters when applicable.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and provide timely case status updates and reporting.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while independently managing your assigned caseload.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar membership.
  • 1+ year of California workers' compensation experience.
  • Familiarity with California WCAB procedures and workers' compensation litigation.
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage files and deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Experienced and senior workers' compensation attorneys are encouraged to apply.
