Job Description
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from initial intake through resolution or trial.
- Serve as first-chair counsel on appropriate matters and take an active role in courtroom strategy and advocacy.
- Handle court appearances, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Represent clients in contract disputes, restrictive covenant matters, employment and labor conflicts, construction disputes, and employment discrimination claims.
- Develop litigation strategy and provide practical guidance directly to clients.
- Draft motions, briefs, discovery, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
- Research complex procedural, regulatory, and substantive legal issues.
- Collaborate closely with senior counsel and experienced paralegal support.
- Maintain strong client relationships while communicating clearly about strategy, risk, and case developments.
- Assist with corporate or transactional matters if interested.
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Bar license.
- 5+ years of litigation experience.
- First-chair trial experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters from start to finish.
- Strong deposition, courtroom, motion practice, legal writing, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and client communication abilities.
- Experience with business, commercial, employment, construction, or restrictive covenant litigation is strongly preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Must reside within approximately 75 miles of Atlanta.
