Location: This is a fully on-site position in Sherman Oaks, California — you'll be at the heart of the team, working alongside attorneys and staff in a focused, collegial environment.

Note: Bilingual fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required. Candidates must also have at least 1 year of legal support experience in a law firm setting. Applications without both qualifications cannot be considered.

Job description

  • Draft legal documents including routine pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; file according to court procedures
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal sources; prepare written summaries for attorneys
  • Interview clients and witnesses; prepare statement summaries and assist with case strategy
  • Organize and maintain case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and pleadings
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation; attend hearings and trials as needed
  • Track billable hours and maintain accurate case records
  • Serve as a warm, organized first point of contact for prospective clients — evaluate inquiries, analyze case fit, and ensure every caller feels heard
  • Schedule consultations for qualified prospects and manage new client onboarding paperwork and data entry
  • Support marketing efforts and maintain relationships with referral partners and other law firms
  • Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks including transcription, research, spreadsheet management, and correspondence

Qualifications

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, written and spoken (required)
  • 1+ year of legal support experience in a law firm setting (required)
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Solid understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and research methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Professional, empathetic client-facing presence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
