Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Location: On-site at offices in Clayton and Chesterfield, Missouri — both are highly accessible, well-resourced submarkets of greater St. Louis. Candidates with a strong insurance coverage background may be considered for a hybrid arrangement.

Note: Candidates must hold an active Missouri Bar license or be eligible for admission. A minimum of 1 year of litigation and/or insurance coverage experience is required to be considered.

Job Description

• Handle all phases of civil litigation including pre-suit investigations, pleadings, discovery, motions practice, depositions, trial preparation, and post-trial matters
• Manage a varied caseload of complex tort and contract claims in state and federal court
• Work on insurance coverage matters including policy analysis, coverage opinions, and related litigation
• Conduct legal research and draft well-reasoned briefs, motions, and correspondence
• Collaborate closely with senior trial attorneys and participate in case strategy from the earliest stages
• Engage directly with clients, provide regular case updates, and maintain strong professional relationships
• Appear in court and before administrative bodies as needed
• Contribute to a team-driven, trial-focused culture where your work genuinely moves cases forward

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active Missouri Bar license or eligibility for admission
• 1+ year of litigation and/or insurance coverage experience
• Strong legal research and writing skills with careful attention to detail
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently as well as collaboratively
• Insurance coverage background is a strong differentiator
