Location

On-site role based in either Richmond, Virginia or Baltimore, Maryland, with flexibility to align with your preferred office while remaining fully embedded with the real estate team.

Note

This role requires active bar admission in the jurisdiction where you will practice and at least 5+ years of hands-on commercial real estate transactional experience.

Job Description

  • Lead complex commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development, and closings
  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, easements, covenants, and closing documents
  • Manage title, survey, zoning, leasing, and diligence review processes
  • Coordinate and oversee transaction closings from start to finish
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals on deal teams
  • Advise clients on legal and business issues throughout the life cycle of real estate assets

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • 5+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience
  • Admitted to the bar or eligible to waive into Maryland or Virginia
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Confident, client-facing communicator with sound business judgment
