Location: St. Charles, Illinois. This is a hands-on, primarily in-office position where you'll work closely with project teams and leadership. Occasional remote flexibility is available when personal situations arise.
Note: Construction billing experience is required. Candidates with experience in AIA billing, job costing, retainage, and commercial construction accounting will be highly preferred.

Job Description
- Manage financial activities for multiple commercial construction projects from start to closeout.
- Process subcontractor invoices, vendor payments, and purchase orders.
- Prepare owner billings, pay applications, lien waivers, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor job costs, project budgets, change orders, and committed costs.
- Partner with Project Managers on forecasting and monthly reporting.
- Reconcile project accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain compliance with contracts, insurance requirements, and subcontract documentation.
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding billing and payment matters.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with accounting, operations, and leadership teams.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting experience with direct construction billing experience required.
- Understanding of AIA billing, retainage, change orders, and job costing.
- Commercial construction or general contractor experience strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
