Location: This role is primarily remote — but you'll need to be based in the Tampa Bay area, as you'll be attending hearings at the courthouse. It's the best of both worlds: flexibility to work from home with the energy of an active litigation practice.

Note: Candidates must be currently licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar, have a minimum of 2+ years of Florida family law experience, and reside in the Tampa Bay area due to required courthouse appearances.

Job description

  • Manage an active family law caseload covering divorce, child custody, support, asset division, paternity, adoptions, domestic violence, and related matters
  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings in Tampa Bay area courts
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondence with precision and care
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, guiding them through often difficult legal processes
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal staff to deliver consistent, high-quality representation
  • Work independently and manage your caseload with minimal supervision
  • Contribute to a culture of professionalism, accountability, and client service

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing — required
  • 2+ years of Florida family law experience — required
  • Tampa Bay area residency required (courthouse appearances)
  • Strong legal writing, litigation, and case management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
  • Litigation and trial experience highly desirable
  • Bilingual in Spanish (spoken and written) — a significant plus
