Location: This is a fully on-site role based in the Memorial area of Houston, TX — a premier professional corridor with easy access and free parking provided. Note: Applicants must be licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar and have at least 2 years of civil litigation experience, with plaintiff's personal injury experience strongly preferred. Applications without Texas Bar licensure will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Manage plaintiff-side personal injury cases from intake all the way through resolution, owning each matter with a high degree of autonomy
  • Draft and refine pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses with precision and persuasive force
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed case evaluations to guide strategy
  • Take and defend depositions, building the factual record that wins cases
  • Appear at hearings, mediations, and trials — this is a courtroom-forward role for attorneys who want real exposure
  • Communicate directly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and expert witnesses
  • Partner with lead attorneys on damages development, case strategy, and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborate closely with partners, paralegals, and support staff to keep active litigation moving efficiently

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience; plaintiff's personal injury background strongly preferred
  • Licensed and in active good standing with the Texas Bar
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability in motion practice and discovery
  • Proven ability to manage an independent caseload and meet competing deadlines
  • Experience taking and defending depositions
  • Trial experience is a plus and will be viewed favorably
  • High professional standards, strong work ethic, and a client-first mindset
