Location: This role is based in Concord, New Hampshire, with a hybrid work schedule.

Note: Qualified candidates must have 3+ years of Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary experience, including legal document preparation, calendaring, proofreading, and court filing support.

Job Description

  • Assist attorneys with preparing, proofreading, revising, and filing legal documents.
  • Prepare correspondence, memoranda, complaints, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, including court dates, meetings, deadlines, and appointments.
  • Organize and maintain legal case files using document management systems.
  • Ensure legal documents comply with federal, state, and local court requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, courts, attorneys, and other legal professionals.
  • Support attorneys with administrative, clerical, and case management tasks.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary experience required.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local court systems.
  • Experience preparing and filing legal documents.
  • Strong proofreading, grammar, and document formatting skills.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and standard legal procedures.
  • Proficiency with document management systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take direction from attorneys and team members.
