Location: Fort Worth, Texas — a primarily on-site role with an initial five-day-a-week in-office schedule for the first two months, followed by at least three days per week in the office.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Texas and have 1+ years of litigation experience. Strong legal research and writing skills and strong academic credentials are required.

Job Description

  • Manage and contribute to a diverse caseload involving general negligence, transportation and trucking litigation, premises liability, insurance defense, and contract disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and develop thoughtful, well-supported litigation strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze complex legal and factual issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Prepare for hearings, depositions, negotiations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Manage multiple matters and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Take ownership of assignments and contribute proactively to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Texas bar license required.
  • 1+ years of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Employment law, professional liability defense, or insurance defense experience is a plus.
