Location

Fully remote within the United States. We are primarily targeting attorneys based in major U.S. metropolitan legal markets. Candidates must maintain an active bar license in the state in which they reside.

Note

Candidates must have 5+ years of substantive commercial litigation experience in private practice, a J.D. from a Top 100 U.S. law school, and an active bar license in their state of residence. We are seeking attorneys with sophisticated commercial, business, or complex civil litigation backgrounds. Candidates whose experience is primarily insurance defense, personal injury, or family law will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Manage sophisticated commercial and business litigation matters from case development through resolution.
  • Develop litigation strategy and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
  • Draft persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other substantive filings.
  • Lead written discovery, document analysis, and case development.
  • Take and defend depositions and participate meaningfully in hearings and trial preparation.
  • Work directly with clients and provide practical, strategic legal guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with opposing counsel, courts, clients, and internal teams.
  • Independently manage multiple complex matters while maintaining exceptional work quality.
  • Collaborate with experienced trial counsel on high stakes disputes.
  • Take increasing responsibility for case strategy, client relationships, and courtroom advocacy.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial litigation, business litigation, or sophisticated complex civil litigation experience.
  • Current private practice law firm experience strongly preferred.
  • J.D. from a Top 100 U.S. law school.
  • Active bar license in the state where you reside.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Meaningful experience with motions, discovery, depositions, and substantive case responsibility.
  • Experience at a sophisticated law firm strongly preferred.
  • Big Law, Am Law, or highly regarded midsize firm training is valued but not required.
  • Ability to independently manage demanding litigation matters.
  • Trial, arbitration, or significant courtroom experience is a plus.
  • Portable business is welcome but not required.
