Location: This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Rockville, Maryland, offering close collaboration with estimating, preconstruction, operations, and senior leadership teams.
Note: Candidates must have 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, including 2+ years managing or supervising Estimators. Experience leading bids for multiple complex commercial projects is required.

Job Description
- Lead bid assembly and estimating strategy for large, complex commercial construction pursuits.
- Manage the overall bid process, including deliverables, work plans, resources, and RFP compliance.
- Apply deep knowledge of complex trades, including Divisions 2, 15, and 16, throughout the estimating process.
- Lead estimating efforts across multiple building types and complex project scopes.
- Use historical estimating and bid data to strengthen pricing decisions and internal bid reviews.
- Apply lessons learned from trade partner buyout to improve estimating practices and minimize project risk.
- Lead project meetings, client presentations, and major bid discussions.
- Provide oversight and guidance on risk management, value engineering, constructability, scoping, and pricing.
- Maintain strong trade partner and supplier relationships and leverage market intelligence to support business decisions.
- Manage and mentor Estimators, Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Estimating Managers.
- Conduct performance reviews and create development opportunities for junior team members.
- Help establish organizational priorities, allocate resources, and drive major business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- 2+ years managing or supervising Estimators.
- Experience leading bids for multiple complex commercial construction projects.
- Experience estimating a variety of building types.
- Strong knowledge of complex construction trades, including Divisions 2, 15, and 16.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of risk management, value engineering, constructability, safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Leadership-level communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
