Personal Injury Associate Attorney

Pay: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Location: Tampa, Florida. Hybrid/remote structure with most work performed from home and occasional in person attendance as needed. Tampa area candidates are strongly preferred.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to the Florida Bar and have 1+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience. We are specifically seeking attorneys with both pre litigation and litigation exposure, including meaningful experience handling depositions, mediations, and expert discovery.

Job Description

• Manage an active caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from pre litigation through litigation.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate claims, and drive matters toward successful resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in mediations.
• Coordinate expert discovery and work closely with medical and other professional experts.
• Prepare cases for litigation while identifying opportunities for favorable settlement.
• Draft persuasive legal documents, correspondence, discovery, and motions.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the life of their cases.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases efficiently.
• Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar license required.
• 1+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience required.
• Experience handling both pre litigation and litigation matters.
• Hands on experience with depositions, mediations, and expert discovery.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, case management, and client communication skills.
• Experience in a higher volume personal injury practice strongly preferred.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus.
