Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation

Pay: $85,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year

Location: Buffalo, NY | Hybrid. Join our Buffalo team with a collaborative hybrid schedule. New attorneys typically begin with four days per week in the office, with the opportunity to transition toward three days onsite as they become established.

Note: Applicants must be admitted to the New York State Bar and have at least 1 year of civil litigation experience. Insurance defense experience is a plus,not a requirement.

• Handle engaging civil litigation and insurance defense matters involving personal injury, premises liability, automobile accidents, construction claims, and general liability.
• Draft pleadings, discovery documents, legal memoranda, and motions.
• Assist with depositions, court appearances, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Develop litigation strategies alongside experienced attorneys.
• Communicate with clients and contribute to effective case resolutions.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience with legal research, pleadings, discovery, and motion practice.
• Knowledge of New York civil litigation procedures.
• Strong writing, organization, and communication skills.
• Insurance defense or New York Labor Law experience preferred.
