Location

Hybrid role based in Leesburg, Virginia, combining in-office collaboration with the flexibility to work remotely as appropriate.

Note

This role requires at least 3+ years of civil litigation experience with a reputable law firm, including first- or second-chair experience in court; in-house-only backgrounds will not be considered.

Job Description

  • Handle a broad range of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft and argue motions, briefs, and pleadings in Virginia courts
  • Take and defend depositions and manage discovery strategy
  • Appear in court, including hearings and trials, as first or second chair
  • Work directly with clients to develop case strategy and deliver results
  • Collaborate with partners and other attorneys across practice areas

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active Virginia Bar license in good standing
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience with a law firm
  • First- or second-chair litigation experience in Virginia courts
  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
