Location:

Fully remote anywhere in the United States. Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.

Note:

Active California Bar admission is required. We are considering attorneys at multiple experience levels, from associates with at least 1 year of litigation experience through senior associate or partner-level attorneys capable of independently managing matters and helping lead the team. Job Description

  • Handle warranty and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution, trial, and appeal.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written work product.
  • Draft case evaluations, pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
  • Propound and respond to written discovery and manage document-intensive matters.
  • Prepare for, take, and defend fact and expert depositions based on experience level.
  • Prepare and argue substantive motions in California state and federal courts.
  • Work directly with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, and internal case teams.
  • Manage case strategy, investigation, deadlines, and client reporting.
  • Prepare matters for hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
  • Senior-level attorneys will help supervise associates, guide litigation strategy, and support leadership of the warranty litigation team.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • 1+ year of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing discovery, motions, depositions, and litigation deadlines appropriate to seniority level.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Strong organization, judgment, and case management skills.
  • Warranty litigation, Song-Beverly, automotive litigation, commercial litigation, product liability, or comparable civil litigation experience is preferred.
  • Senior candidates should demonstrate the ability to independently manage significant matters and mentor or supervise junior attorneys.
  • Trial experience is highly valued for more senior candidates.
