Location:
Chandler, Arizona. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity where you will work closely with our project management team and leadership. Projects are located throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley, allowing you to manage meaningful heavy civil work while remaining locally based.
Note:
Candidates must have 5+ years of construction-related project management experience with a general contractor and a strong background in heavy civil construction. Experience with roadway, grading, paving, site development, underground utilities, or similar civil infrastructure work is strongly desired.

Job Description
- Lead multiple heavy civil construction projects while managing schedules, budgets, contracts, quality, safety, and overall project performance.
- Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedules while coordinating field operations, project engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and internal resources.
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, drawings, and project requirements to ensure successful execution.
- Monitor construction and financial performance and proactively address schedule, cost, production, and operational challenges.
- Direct and mentor project engineers, superintendents, and other project team members.
- Ensure compliance with company safety requirements, OSHA standards, project specifications, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate project delivery using methods including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, and Job Order Contracting.
- Apply knowledge of crew configurations, labor production, estimating, and heavy civil construction operations to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction-related project management experience with a general contractor.
- Heavy civil construction experience involving roadway, grading, paving, underground utilities, site development, or closely related infrastructure work.
- Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, contracts, plans, specifications, and field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Working knowledge of CPM scheduling and Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
- Familiarity with heavy civil estimating and construction software such as HCSS HeavyBid, On-Screen Takeoff, Agtek, Sage CRE 300, TimberScan, or comparable systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of Arizona and Greater Phoenix municipal, transportation, environmental, and utility construction standards is highly valuable.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent directly relevant experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, organis, client service, and time-management skills.
